Information – Intent

“Winners are not afraid of losing. But losers are. Failure is part of the process of success. People who avoid failure also avoid success.” – Robert T. Kiyosaki

I put time and money into this website for no other reason than to share some ideas. Some won’t like it and some will. Variety in thought and word is what makes humanity interesting. There are websites that cater for all, so if you don’t like this content don’t waste time – go somewhere else. Easy.

Anyone who thinks that humour, or the ability to laugh, should not exist when engaging with new events and situations or discussing what they consider potentially fear inducing, frightening etc is, in my opinion, an idiot. Transferring their own fears onto others in order to condone personal behaviours is not acceptable. Having attended a couple of military shindigs on foreign shores I can report that people of that disposition are not tolerated. They bring everyone down and kill morale. Laughing in the face of adversity really is a thing! The best commanders I served under also had the blackest humour.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear.” – Frank Herbert, Dune (1965)

Self reliance is a difficult subject to address to a varied audience. People have differing levels of exposure to hands on tasks, and for many it’s an alien world. It isn’t at all, and my purpose in sharing my projects is to encourage anyone to engage. It is easier than you think. There is a perception that lots of basic stuff is too difficult or dangerous. This myth is promulgated in order to turn simple tasks in to a ‘specialist service’ that can be utilised (monetarised), via fear, in order to separate you from your hard earned cash.

There will always be those who find fault in any information given. It’s like it is their job! However, it is also a way of projecting their own fears onto others. If people become too afraid to tackle new stuff it condones the fault finders own over-cautious behaviour. I find many criticisers like people to fail as it makes them feel better about their own lack of courage, and their laziness.

A little fear is a good thing. It makes us assess properly without jumping straight in. It prompts questions and helps us plan safely. For example knowing the risks of our diets and cardiac health means we go easy on the cake and pastry for fear of dying too early. Fear has positive factors but requires control. We all have fears , but we can’t let them win and close down our self worth.

Mr Kiyosaki (see top) is absolutely spot on!
